.picture challenge.

Do you ever find yourself taking so many pictures of your sweet baby but never doing anything with them??? TOTALLY GUILTY HERE!

Before Brooke was born I was a scrapbook fanatic. However, after running around after her and lack of sleep I've learned that scrap booking is totally unrealistic unless you honestly keep up on it and work on it during all of your free time. Plus I'm kinda a OCD scrapper and put way too much time into a page. Therefore, I've decided that I'm going to make a photo book every year with ALL of the photos from that year. I won't be making one for each child. That is just too much work and there would be a lot of overlapping in pic. I started with 2011 and love our book. I choose to use Shutterfly for this book but I may try some other site next year. I always tend to have great coupons for Shutterfly hence the reason that I picked them. When I started my photo book I had ALL of the pics from 2011 to organize, layout, and attach witty comments with. IT WAS AN ENORMOUS TASK! I've learned my lesson and have decided that I will be working on my book every couple of months. I think that if you totaled my hours spent editing and organizing I probably spent about 15 hours working on it.

So my challenge for you is to take as MANY pictures as you can of your little one! Always document something cute and make sure to remember all those sweet outfits! I've even added the Shutterfly app to my iphone that way I can upload all my pics from the phone without having to forward them to my email (SO STINKING EASY).

What do you do with your pictures? Do you photo book? Print? Put on a DVD? Have them all on your computer just sitting there? Stay motivated and remember that working on a project a little bit every once and awhile is a lot easier than cramming a project in a day or two.

  1. That's a good idea. David and I have made a few photo books, but could definitely do more. We have a million pics sitting on our computer (and now on our phones with all the baby pics we're taking). It would be nice to have the actual books as a keepsake...

I scrapbooked two albums of pictures from Europe trips (because i didn't have a digital camera until I was like 24...) and it was a pain in the ass. Kudos to people who really enjoy doing that.
