.progress updates.

After some time off I've started to realize all the progress Brooke has made in the last two weeks. The rate at which kiddos grow is truly amazing.

First off yesterday marked 5 months since Brooke's birth. I know that some mom's can side with me saying that despite all the pain and hard work that comes with labor...they would do it all over again in a heart beat. I started contractions at 2:30 am and had our sweet surprise baby at 8:26 pm. After two epidural attempts, baby decels, placement of an internal heart rate monitor on Brooke, two and half hours of pushing, and nine months of pregnancy I still can't believe that we were blessed with such a sweet baby.

Secondly we've entered the talking or as I like to call it...the SCREAMING stage. Whenever Brooke is interacting with anyone or playing with toys she tends to scream rather than the cute coo's that we've heard up until now. When those cute coo's do come out we cherish them. It's sometimes hilarious and sometimes trying. I remind myself that everything is a stage and that in no time she'll be moving onward and upward.

Lastly we tried the pool for the first time when her grandparents were in town. TOTAL success! She absolutely loved it! She's always loved bath time therefore I wasn't surprised when she liked the pool. I'm a firm believer in the sooner you expose babies to certain experiences/things the better off they are to transitioning and adapting. Has anyone enrolled their babies into swim lessons?? How old where they and what was your time at the pool like?

Happy Friday everyone! Stay tuned! I plan on updating more frequently!
