.chef momma.

I've recently been throwing around the idea of making my own baby food. Considering the fact that I'm a stay at home mom I feel like it's the least I can do for Brooke. Plus I'm always buying LOTS of fruits and veggies for Greg and I...it only seems natural to have Brooke eat the same things we are. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted baby food making?? Do you make in bulk and freeze? What kinda of blender/processor do you use? Did your baby like the homemade food as much as the Gerber food? We recently started Brooke on some fruits and veggies last week and she LOVES them. Mixing them in with either rice or oatmeal. All and all I would love to hear what other momma's are doing or if you have any friends that have attempted making their own food?

  1. I have Been making food for Quinn and I think it is the best thing you can do for your little one! I usually make a bunch and then freeze in ice cube trays. He has been eating about 3 cubes per serving.' Be careful though, I made a bunch of broccoli and cauliflower and it's just taking up space in my freezer cause he doesn't like it!! I use a food processor and I also bought the baby food all-in-one steamer and blender by Beaba (I think) that is nice for smaller portions. I will usually add breastmilk for liquid if it needs to be thinned out (like sweet potatoes or squash) which is a great way to keep giving them
that goodness :). However, I do buy the small containers to have when we are out and about cause they're more convenient. Hope this helps!
