.not happy up...not happy down.

One of my good friends has a great saying that stands true to babies and their nap times. NOT HAPPY UP...NOT HAPPY DOWN...TIME FOR BED! Honestly it's kinda funny but if you don't know how to read your babies cues yet this is a good indicator for a nap. Basically it means that if your sweet one isn't happy in your arms and comforted by you or if they aren't happy on the floor playing then it's probably time to hit the hay! This is saying that you've recently feed them and they have a clean diaper. Sometimes it's hard to deal with crying and fussy babies however if you remind yourself of this mantra then you'll quickly learn that nap times can be pretty painless. It's better to get your bundle of joy down to sleep before they become too overly tired plus it's helps you to maintain sanity! NOW...there will be those days when nothing seems to work! TRUST ME! I had a monday meltdown with Brooke yesterday and honestly it was just survival of the fittest. I know that when you have a crying baby sometimes you forget the basics which is why giving them some time to rest in their crib is a perfect solution. Just remember...NOT HAPPY UP, NOT HAPPY DOWN, TIME FOR BED!
